Christina Balistreri, LMFT
Christina joined Bayside Marin as a Clinical Supervisor in January 2024. As a native San Franciscan, she has a passion to help others in her community navigate through the world in a healthy, productive and positive way. She takes special interest in women and mothers who are faced with challenges such as substance use and mental health, and those in the Justice System.
Christina has been in the mental health field for over 15 years providing therapeutic services to a variety of clientele. She has extensive experience in the Justice System as a behavioral counselor for underserved youth on probation in San Francisco, a behavior counselor at probation high schools, girls group home counselor, unit counselor at juvenile hall, and as a Deputy Probation Officer and Supervising Probation Officer for the San Francisco Adult Probation Department. Through this work, Christina has helped individuals who have had diagnosed and undiagnosed mental health and substance use challenges connect to appropriate treatment and services to address their specific needs all while supporting them and fostering positive life changes. She is also a facilitator for various evidence-based programs such as Thinking for a Change and other supportive programs such as Real Colors and Mothers Matter.
In 2016, Christina became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. She opened a private practice and consults with various community and private programs to develop and foster therapeutic services and programs.
Christina is also a Clinical Supervisor for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists in the field who are training to become licensed with the State of California.
