Maggie joined Bayside as Director of Clinical Services in August of 2023, bringing with her 34+ years of leadership and clinical experience, training, education, and training. Over her illustrious career and a response to what she considers a “calling”, Maggie has been in the Helping and Healing profession in roles such as Clinician/Therapist, CEO and Director/Leadership roles, Addiction Specialist, Professor, Clinical Supervisor, Non-Profit Founder, Sex Therapist, Clinical Master Hypnotherapist, Child Advocate, Life Coach, Etiquette Consultant, and Speaker, and for fun- Laughter Yoga Teacher.
Known for her holistic and intuitive style as well her dedication and mission-driven focus, Maggie is well-respected in her field as someone who can take on the most challenging obstacles with eclectic wisdom and warm, empathetic support.
Among her many clinical and addiction specialties, Maggie is particularly dedicated to working with vulnerable individuals and families, helping them discover the confidence/empowerment, awareness, and skills they need to become successful in all aspects of life. Prior to her time at Bayside, Maggie was Founder and CEO of a non-profit agency preparing disadvantaged and at-risk individuals and families for life and leadership and created a community therapy clinic in San Francisco. She continues to run a successful private practice providing therapy and consulting.
Additionally, Maggie serves as a Professor, as well as the Director of the Addiction and Other Drug Studies Program at the College of San Mateo, inspiring the next generation of behavioral health leaders and also providing trainings and classes for all levels of the various helping disciplines (Licensed Clinicians and Associates, Doctors, Addiction Director/Managers and specialists, Civil Servants, etc. She teaches Law and Ethics for the Helping Professionals; Family Systems in Addiction; Co-Occurring Disorders; Individual Treatment and Interventions for Addiction, and Field Studies/Internship.
Maggie also holds a special place for musicians, having provided life coaching, training, counseling, and consultation for numerous performers in the music industry. She has even hosted her own radio talk show and managed musicians and bands herself!
With her abundant talent and training, Maggie is committed to helping Bayside’s clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and life in recovery. She empowers her clients to strengthen, honor, appreciate, and challenge themselves to become stronger and healthier decision-makers as they navigate early sobriety and reclaim their independence from addiction.
