Marie Lavin, LCSW, MSW

Marie joined Bayside Marin as a Therapist in January 2024. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Master in Social Work and a B.A. in Women’s Studies from San Francisco State University. She has over 25 years of experience as an L.C.S.W. including work as a psychiatric social worker and experience in the criminal justice system as a Supervising Probation Officer of the Domestic Violence Unit.
She received an award for her work in the Domestic Violence Prevention Community from the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women. Marie also has experience in the public health arena as an educator in Domestic Violence and equine therapist, where she worked with Veterans experiencing PTSD and other issues.
In her private practice, Marie has expertise in Energy Medicine, treating clients with trauma, grief, substance abuse, and other issues. She is also the author of An Invitation to Change through Energy Healing.
Marie has had extensive experience in the field of Addiction and Trauma.
