Carolyn Younger
Director of Outpatient Services
With nearly 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Carolyn began her clinical career at McAuley Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Hospital at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco, later continuing her work for five years in their Adolescent Outpatient Program. Since then, she has remained deeply committed to supporting both youth and adults through a wide range of behavioral health settings, including residential treatment programs, outpatient care, domestic violence therapeutic communities, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and private practice.
Carolyn’s work is grounded in a genuine curiosity about the human experience and a steadfast dedication to helping individuals heal and grow. After recently returning to her Bay Area roots from Michigan, where she worked with Acadia, she is honored to be part of the Bayside Marin team. She is passionate about continuing to learn, lead, and deepen her understanding of the connection between mind, body, and spirit, while collaborating with her colleagues to foster wholeness, vitality, and lasting healing for every client.
Outside of her professional life, Carolyn enjoys spending time in nature and cherishes moments with her young adult son, whether walking, talking, playing board games, or shopping together. She also loves time with her spouse, friends, family, and their 12-year-old Husky/Lab rescue, Bear. Carolyn firmly believes that “relationships are the foundation of our emotional well-being,” a philosophy that guides both her personal life and clinical work.
