Kristina Wandzilak has worked closely with Bayside Marin since it first opened in 2004. Over the years she has connected many people to our healing services as an interventionist and facilitated groups for current patients and alumni. Kristina found recovery for herself in 1993 and has been working in the field since 1995. Her profound personal insight and compassion has made her a renowned expert in helping families navigate addiction. Presently, Kristina lends her immense talent to operating Bayside’s Family Program.
Through her work as an international interventionist, author, and television expert, Kristina has reached thousands of people affected by substance abuse and dependence. She has been featured on ground-breaking television series like “Codependent” on LMN as well as “Addicted” on TLC. Kristina can also be seen on Good Morning America and other news outlets, commenting on current addiction issues.
In addition to her televised work, Kristina also co-authored a critically acclaimed addiction memoir with her mother, Constance Curry. Told from the parallel perspective of both mother and daughter, “The Lost Years: Surviving a Mother & Daughter’s Worst Nightmare” is a moving account of one family’s journey through addiction and into the triumph of recovery. Kristina and her mother travel globally for speaking events.
